What is the rated capacity of this energy storage container, and can it be customized?
Our standard high-density model provides 5.015MWh (also available in 3.354MWh) in a 20ft container. As a professional BESS manufacturer, we offer full OEM/ODM customization to adjust the capacity, PCS integration, and voltage levels (1000V/1500V) based on your specific project requirements.
How does the liquid cooling system compare to air cooling for 5MWh systems?
For high-capacity systems like 5MWh, liquid cooling is essential. It provides superior thermal management, maintaining cell temperature uniformity within 3°C. This prevents hot spots, reduces auxiliary power consumption, and ensures stable performance in high-temperature environments (up to 50°C), which air cooling cannot achieve at this density.
What brand of cells do you use, and what is the expected cycle life?
We use Tier-1 Grade A LiFePO4 cells (such as CATL, EVE, or REPT) to ensure reliability. The system is rated for over 6,000 to 8,000 cycles at 80% Depth of Discharge (DOD), translating to a service life of 10-15 years under standard industrial operating conditions.
Is the container compatible with different PCS (Power Conversion System) brands?
Yes. Our BESS container is designed with an open-protocol BMS/EMS that is highly compatible with major global PCS brands like SUNGROW, SMA, Kehua, and Sineng. We can provide an integrated "DC+AC" solution or a "DC-only" battery container depending on your procurement preference.
What international certifications does your 5MWh BESS carry?
Our systems are designed to meet global compliance standards. The core components and the overall system carry certifications such as IEC 62619, UN38.3, CE-LVD, and UL 9540A (thermal runaway testing), ensuring smooth customs clearance and grid connection approval in most international markets.
How do you handle fire safety in such a large-scale lithium battery container?
Safety is our top priority. The container includes a multi-stage fire suppression system (Gas/Aerosol) integrated with smoke and heat detectors. In the event of an anomaly, the BMS will trigger an emergency shutdown of the affected string to prevent propagation, following the NFPA 855 safety guidelines.
What is the typical lead time for a 5MWh utility-scale project?
For standard configurations, the lead time is approximately 8-12 weeks from order confirmation to EXW/FOB delivery. Large-scale utility projects involving multiple containers may require a phased delivery schedule, which our project management team will coordinate with your logistics partner.
Do you provide on-site installation support or technical training?
We provide comprehensive technical documentation, installation manuals, and remote commissioning support. For large-scale projects, we can dispatch senior engineers for on-site supervision and provide training for your local O&M (Operation and Maintenance) team to ensure long-term system stability.
