1. Raw Materials Preparation

  • Lead Materials: Pure lead and lead alloys (e.g., lead-antimony, lead-calcium) are used for grids and active material.
  • Carbon Materials: High-performance carbon (e.g., activated carbon, graphite, graphene) is prepared for mixing into the negative electrode to enhance charge acceptance and reduce sulfation.

2. Grid Manufacturing

  • Casting or Rolling: Grids are made by casting molten lead or rolling and expanding lead sheets.
  • Grid Design: Optimized grid designs ensure efficient current distribution and durability.

3. Paste Preparation

  • Positive Paste: A mix of lead oxide, water, sulfuric acid, and additives is prepared for the positive electrode.

6. Electrolyte Filling
